Boat Projects

Boats are projects, even when new, there is always something that needs to be done or you want to add or update. Somethings you pay someone to do and somethings you do yourself.

Below are various boat projects that I have completed, in progress, or are planned.

Air Conditioning: Not always needed, but spend a summer at a marina in Florida and you will quickly change your mind.

Chain plates: Don’t judge a chain plate by it’s cover.

Fresh Water Plumbing: 200 gallons on board and I want to be able to drink that water.

Electrical: Flip the switch and nothing happens you need to fix it or hope it isn’t something vital.

Electronics & Communications: You can do without, sailors have for 1000s of years. But it is nice to know who is out there and to be able to talk to them, where you are, where you are going, and an autopilot to get you there.

Refrigerator and Freezer: When the drinks aren’t cold something needs to be done about it.

Running Rigging: Leading some lines to the cockpit

Solar Arch & Davits: Quiet power and a place to hang a hammock or a tender if you need to.

Standing Rigging: Being able to keep the mast up is a good thing.
